Architecture Competition-Importing Sketchup

Use Google Sketchup, Google Earth and Revit (OF COURSE) to design one of three projects.
  • Everest Base Camp
  • UNDP World Waters Embassy
  • Thames Opera House
This is a great opportunity to see how you can join the Google Earth-to-Sketchup-to-Revit revolution. You can get fairly accurate site slopes etc. and build your design right on top! Revit Building 9 has a direct import of Sketchup files (.skp). This works best when you import the skp into a mass or mass family. You can convert most of the surfaces to walls etc. Just type sketchup in Revit Help and you'll find a good explanation.

Here's the competition site:

Let's show them how Revit can really kick it up a notch!
